ABOUT JANELL

 

I am very passionate about interior design and I have chosen it as my career path. Everything about interior design is very detailed and there is much to think about when working on a project. I enjoy the whole design process, from talking with clients and space planning, to furniture and finish selections. It is well worth the effort put into a project when you are able to see the final design completed. 

 

My experience as an intern at The University of Toledo has really helped me grow as a designer. I have been able to work on many commercial projects on the main campus, health science campus and branch campuses. I have learned how to work with other designers, architects, furniture dealers and reps on projects.

 

I have become an active member in the student ASID chapter at Bowling Green State University. I served in a leadership role my junior and senior years having been elected secretary then president by my peers. In preparation for the future, I became a student member of the IIDA in Toledo, OH. Being an active member in both ASID and IIDA has helped me network with professionals in the interior design field.
